Dear fellow Harpists,
The Acadamy in «Chalap» is going to take place from 30th of July until the 5th of August 2017.
We will practice traditional music mostly from South America but much more : a Forro (from Brasil), a Salsa, some polyrhythmic tunes in the style from the Kora and Balkan tunes.
We will also learn how to dance Forro with the accordion group on Wednesday morning.
Most of the work is going to be done in group lessons which will take place from Monday until Friday. Wednesday is a free day at which you can go to a concert in the evening.
If you play classic harp, you're welcome too !
The Academy is going to take place in a «Mas Cevenol» in Chalap, a hamlet 8 km from Génolhac in the heart of « Hautes-Cevennes » in the South of France. The place is really peaceful and full of beautiful nature with a river nearby .
The accommodation is in or around the house.
All the meals are prepared by chefs with fresh and organic regional products.
Price for lessons, accommodation and meals:
600 euros
560 euros (in camping space)
520 euros (students/unemployed)
