Hier noch eine mittelalterliche Miniatur „The Harp-Playing Victors on the Sea of Glass“ aus Ms. Ludwig III 1 (83.MC.72), fol. 30v (1255–1260).
Text auf der Website zur Getty-Apokalypse:
I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who had overcome the beast, and its image, and the number of its name, standing on the sea of glass, having the harps of God, and singing the canticle of Moses, the servant of God, and singing the canticle of the Lamb. (Apocalypse 15:2-3)
Before the angels empty their vessels on the earth, John sees pious and righteous people singing the "canticle of the Lamb." Red flames dot the sea of glass mentioned in the text, and a man in the middle holds a scroll up to the Lamb. The words of the canticle appear on the scroll: Magna et mirabilia op[er]a tua Domine D[eu]s om[ni]p[oten]s iuste e[t] vere vie tue rex seculor[um] (Great and wonderful are your works, Lord God almighty; just and true are your ways, king of ages).

Leider nein! Es gab zwar einen Katalog, aber auf italienisch und da darin nur Bilder der Geigen waren, viel Text und von den Harfen nix zu sehen war, hatte ich den nicht mitgenommen (weil ich kein italienisch lesen kann).

Meine Harfe(n): Die Erste: Trobadour mit 25 Seiten von Glissando Die Zweite: eine Saira28 von Detlev Lampe in Ahorn Die Dritte: die nur zeitweise hergestellte Arya 38 von Klaus Regelsberger in Nussbaum Die Vierte: die weltallerschönste und singendste EInhorn-Metallsaitenharfe in Eiche, Bronze und Silber von Mary Kissel
Gerade zufällig auf den Kupferstich eines verlorengegangenen Gemäldes von Caspar David Friedrich gestoßen!

Ich kannte das noch gar nicht!
Interessant finde ich, dass es sich bei den beiden Harfe spielenden Menschen offensichtlich um eine Frau und einen Mann handelt. Das wäre,wie oft bei Caspar David Friedrich, ein Ausdruck der seelischen Harmonie eines Paares.

Wirklich? Ich sehe stehend einen jungen Mann und sitzend einen älteren, bärtigen Mann. Wäre eher ein Bild der bardischen Traditionsweitergabe.
Und Friedrich hat ja gerade viele solche Männerpaare, wie auch bei den zwei Männern in Betrachtung des Mondes, oder auch am Ufer des Meeres etc.
